Indication of Interest – Waitlist – Our Lady of the Assumption School

Thank you for your interest in Our Lady of the Assumption elementary school!

This WAITLIST is for Grades 1-7 ONLY.

For Parents Interested in Enrolling Children in GRADES 1-7
Currently our school is at capacity for all grade levels, and we will not be increasing class sizes.
Should a spot become available, you and the other families on the waitlist will be contacted for an interview.

NOTE: This waitlist information is valid for 1 year only. To keep records current, families should resubmit waitlist information yearly (January 1) to be considered for the next school year.

For Parents Interested In KINDERGARTEN
Kindergarten application forms are available in early January the year your child turns 5 years old. We do not have a waitlist for kindergarten. Kindergarten application forms are located on the school website: https://assumptionschool.com/kindergarten-applications

OPEN SCHOOL TOUR

We are pleased to host an Annual Open School Tour each January. Visitors/potential families can participate in a guided tour of the school and visit classrooms while watching our students learn! Everyone is welcome and no registration is required.

The next Open School Tour will take place early in January 2025.

ADMISSIONS STEPS

Should a student position become available, there is a 3 step admissions process for Our Lady of the Assumption School. Families on the waitlist are contacted according to Catholic Independent Schools of the Vancouver Archdiocese’s Priority Of Acceptance.

1. APPLICATION – Student Application Forms must be completed in full and returned to the school including required documentation on the forms. Please read and familiarize yourselves with the school policies that can be found on the school website.

2. FAMILY INTERVIEW – Parents/Guardians and their child(ren) are required to meet with the Parish Priest and the Principal for an informational meeting. The meeting will be scheduled by the school office as applications received by application deadline are reviewed.

3. REGISTRATION – A Registration Package will be distributed to successful applicants once applications have been approved. Please return completed registration forms and applicable fees to Our Lady of the Assumption School.
